Champagne Paul Déthune Rosé Grand Cru 75cl

Outstanding non-vintage Champagne rosé.

The Déthune family have been growers in the Grand Cru Village of Ambonnay (also referred to as the “King of Pinot Noir”) for nearly 200 years, in their constant drive for perfection it seemed natural to farm sustainably and biodynamically, even the oak for their barrels and cuvées are sourced from local forests. It is this unstinting drive for extreme quality that puts this small cult house right up there in the Pantheon of the very best in the whole of Champagne.

Champagne doesn’t get any richer than Ambonnay, and this Paul Déthune is very full-bodied and yet so easy to drink and light on its feet. An absolute bargain. In the Grand Cru Rosé, there is about 40% of reserve wines from a period of 40 different years, aged and vinified in oak casks.

It's a truly exceptional Champagne rosé with a pretty pink color and crushed strawberries and cherries notes. On the palate, the foam is delicate and exquisite, the red berries are followed by spicy notes and rose petal. It's sapid and extremely appetising!
